About Majestic Landscapes Photography/Kevin Brisolara
My EquipmentThe Camera that I currently use is a Nikon D200. I have various Nikkor Lenses that I use. The most common lens that I use is the Nikkor 12-24mm. I use a tripod with every shot, making sure to always have a sharp image, this a must. I also use various filters, such as a 67mm & 77 mm B+W Polarizers, 1 stop, 2 stop and 3 stop Graduated Neutral Density Filters by Singh Ray.
Something Else/Photography TipsAre you a photography enthusiast? Do you like going out and taking photographs, but are not pleased with the results? Here are a couple of tips for those of you that would like to take better photographs. The most important thing is to be at the location when the lighting is at its best, which is very early in the morning before or during sunrise. Late in the evening is another great time to photograph as the sun is setting or already has set. You don't need the best equipment to get great shots. Shoot when the sun is at your back or to the sides of you. Shooting during the middle of the day is not the best time to do photography, unless there is overcast and when you do this, dont include the sky in your shots (usually). When shooting with the sky in the shot, use a Graduated Neutral Density Filter, this will bring the sky in correct exposure with the landscape. I use 2-3 stop Graduated Neutral Density (ND) Filters by Singh Ray for this. I also use a polarizer, which will also help bring the colors out and darken the sky. It will also cut glare off of water surfaces, windows and metallic surfaces. I hope these tips will help you take better photographs. GOOD LUCK with your photography.
